We used sustainable materials in all our bags. We have used recycled materials. Our current recycled materials are made from recycled plastic and recycled fiber (ex: hemp, organic cotton, etc.). We have also used vegan and plant based materials. Our vegan leather is primarily (more than 70%) made out of plant based materials. And the foam we used in our bags is made out of an innovative algae based material.
The recycled plastic in our fabric is made from discarded plastic bottles that have been collected from the shores of Haiti and Honduras to clean up their environment. The algae that we used in our bags have been extracted from our ponds to clean up our natural water resources. Algae is usually beneficial to our environment because it absorbs water and air pollutants like CO2. However, excessive algae can be harmful to our environment. The algae based material in our bags have been made using these excess algae.
